Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery glow and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Explosive peat smoke rises from the glass, threaded with sea spray and iodine. Underneath, sherry-tinged fruit—dried cherry, fig, raisin—meets cocoa, vanilla and toasted spice. Leather, cedar and a whisper of tar add ballast, while a saline edge and citrus zest sparkle in the background. A bold, maritime aroma that hints at a powerful, lingering finish.
Palate
A viscous, richly peated palate that coats the mouth with coastal smoke, iodine and sea-salt. Sherry influence deepens into dark chocolate, dried cherry and toasted almond, balanced by clean vanilla and resinous oak. A warming, peppery spice lingers, followed by a long, ashy-smoked finish.
Finish
Long, smoky and coastal, the finish unfurls with peat, sea spray and a touch of char. Dark sherry fruit—candied orange, raisin, cocoa—melds with vanilla and spice, lingering into a resinous, medicinal ember with a final iodine kiss.
