Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with coppery sheen and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Intense peat smoke and maritime iodine lead the aroma, braided with brine and ash. Beneath, sherry-cask richness unfurls dried fig and raisin, interwoven with dark chocolate, toffee and vanilla sweetness. Subtle leather and tobacco add depth, while toasted oak and a mineral edge linger, a signature echo of Islay coastal air.
Palate
Powerful Islay peat envelopes the palate with brine and smoke, a maritime core brightened by sherry-fuelled sweetness of dried fruit and cocoa. Bold but refined, it glides to a long, warming finish of pepper, ash and leather, leaving a salty, coastal sting and lingering smoke.
Finish
Long, peated finish with maritime salt and iodine, fading into a delicate sherry sweetness. The smoke lingers, revealing dried fruit, cocoa and a touch of spice on a warm, oak-kissed finale.
