Colour
Dark amber with a coppery glow and a rich mahogany edge.
Nose
Towering peat smoke with medicinal iodine and sea-salt breeze, lifted by sherry-soaked prune and fig. Hints of dark chocolate, toasted almond, and polished oak linger, with a bright citrus peel note—an elegant, age-woven Ardbeg perfume.
Palate
Silky yet bold, this Islay single malt coats the palate with peat smoke and sherried sweetness. Dark fig and raisin mingle with cocoa and espresso, lifted by sea salt and mineral coastal notes. Leather, spice and refined oak add backbone, leading to a long, smoky finish with cocoa, warmth and lingering maritime lift.
Finish
Long, maritime peat lingers, evolving into a refined finish of saline smoke and iodine. Dark fruit, dried fig and cocoa emerge from the shadows, joined by gentle ginger spice and toasted oak. The warmth persists with resinous sweetness, then fades to a dry, elegant ash that keeps a whisper of peat on the palate.
