The 2014 Ardbeg Day release Auriverdes is named after the dram of two halves which combines the Green bottle with the Golden spirit within and aged in American oak with heavily toasted lids.
Ardbeg, always great always different and this was released as a nod to the green and gold of Brazil for the Football world cup of 2014.

Colour
Luminous golden amber with a warm honey glow.
Nose
Smoked mocha mingles with gravalax on brown toast, tarry carbolic soap and cured salami. Peaty pomegranates meet juniper, toasted vanilla and BBQ kippers, finishing in ashy citrus.
Palate
Smoked sweet meats mingle with aromatic herbal honey and juniper, woven through mocha and vanilla toast, with a subtle gravalax lift that lends a savory, lingering finish.
Finish
Sweet and savoury, the finish lingers with mocha, BBQ smoke, crispy fish skin, oily herbal notes, burnt juniper and a cured meat–vanilla harmony.
