From a Distillery with more ups and downs that a pogoing punk comes Ardcore. Created with roasted black malt, roasted to the extreme, this spirit is all about what happens up front – centre stage. The malt is what defines its distinctive profile. Described as tasting like ‘biting on a spiky ball’, Ardcore is a dram that wears its heart on its sleeve… its black heart!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Obsidian black with a copper-amber edge.
Nose
Fresh, floral and herbal with tart, zesty notes. Hints of mixed herbs and cedar, bright orange and grapefruit, and a lively sweep of menthol and peppermint. With water, diesel oil and tar surface, alongside hints of fresh paint and aniseed, then ease into memories of freshly cut hay, a touch of silage, and a savoury bread-dough undertone.
Palate
A lively, vibrant, sharp, zingy palate with a firm, distinctive core: malty biscuit tones, powerful aniseed and cardamom, antiseptic lozenge, sweet mint toffee and cigar ash.
Finish
A lingering, salty finish with a firm bite of mint, tar and oak tannin, finished with a whisper of leather.
