An Oa is a softer, sweeter expression of Ardbeg. Matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, ex-PX Sherry and virgin oak casks, this Whisky has an abundance of smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. A classic Ardbeg peat.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Charred old tea chests and gunpowder tea meet seaweed on a coastal barbecue, with clove oil and chamois leather. Rock pool mineral notes mingle with lemon balm and a peppery, soapy peat, while hints of pineapple, ginger powder, salty smoked bacon crisps and liquorice weave through the aroma.
Palate
Salty beef crisps, green chilli and aromatic black tea greet the palate, followed by sooty vanilla and toasted lemon rind. Herbal lozenges mingle with smoked sultana and raisin as ginger-mocha notes weave through a peppery, lasting peat smoke.
Finish
Spicy and peppery, the finish lingers with gunpowder tea, black liquorice, sooty pineapple, green chilli flakes, salty rock pools and toasted coffee beans.
