"Amrut double cask is liqueurlike in character-fruity, delightful, rich, sweet and intense. By comparison, the intermediate sherry is a delicious mix of red berries and rich stewed fruits and sweet vanilla ice cream, with sherry flavours in the ascendency."

One of the oldest Amrut's to be released to date due to the high levels of evapouration in the hot Indian climate.

Amrut
Amrut was founded in Bangalore in 1948 by J. N. Radhakrishna Rao Jagdale, shortly after Indian independence. The company began as a producer of Indian-made spirits before developing into one of the most important names in Indian single malt whisky. Its current main distillery is at Kambipura, around 20 kilometres from Bangalore, and was built in 1987.
