Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany-tinged edges.
Nose
Opulent sherry richness blooms on the nose: dried figs and sultanas mingle with cocoa, orange zest and toffee. Layered oak, vanilla and a touch of spice weave through, with a whisper of leather, giving a velvety, warming depth that promises indulgence.
Palate
Viscous and luxurious on the palate, this Allt-a-Bhainne carries sherry-tinged depth at 58% ABV. Dried plum and fig mingle with orange zest, dark chocolate, and toffee, while vanilla and toasted oak provide backbone. Cinnamon-spice lift grows into a long, warming finish with cocoa-dusted warmth and a lingering ember.
Finish
Deep sherried sweetness coats the palate, with dark raisin, orange peel and toffee threading through rich, honeyed oak. The finish lengthens gracefully, releasing warm spice—clove, cinnamon and black pepper—amid a whisper of cocoa and nutty oak that lingers long and invitingly.
