Tasting Notes
Colour
A deep, glowing amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany-tinged rim.
Nose
Opulent sherry-draped aroma, a constellation of dark plum, raisin and fig melded with honeyed Aberfeldy malt. Vivid orange zest and toffee provide brightness, while warm spices—cinnamon and clove—linger with almond, vanilla and a subtle oak underpinning.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied on the palate, this Aberfeldy unfurls honeyed orchard fruits—pear and peach—layered with rich toffee and caramel. Sherry-influenced depth adds warm spice notes of cinnamon and clove, wrapped in creamy malt and vanilla. A polished oak spine supports a velvety texture, leading to a long, generous finish of dried fruit, almond and a whisper of tobacco.
Finish
Silky, long finish with honeyed sweetness and orchard fruit that deepen into rich sherry character—raisins, fig and a touch of cocoa. Velvet vanilla and spice drift through the oak, leaving a warm, comforting glow that slowly lingers.
