Released as part of the Home Nations series, TBWC presents this first batch bottling from the White Peak distillery. Not quite old enough to qualify as a Whisky, this Malt spirit has been matured in STR wine casks for 2 years.

This is surprisingly bright and balanced, considering it's youth and 50% ABV. There's a definite herbacious character to it; fresh thyme and sage.

White Peak Distillery was founded in 2016 by Max and Claire Vaughan in Ambergate, becoming Derbyshire’s first full-scale craft distillery and the first whisky distillery in the Peak District region. Housed in the former Johnson & Nephew Wire Works on the banks of the River Derwent, within the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has built its identity around a strong sense of Derbyshire provenance and the industrial history of its home.
