Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a luxurious copper glow, veiled in mahogany depths and a whisper of ruby at the rim.
Nose
Opulent sherry nose with dried fig, prune and raisin, interwoven with candied orange peel and dark chocolate. Rich toffee and burnt sugar frame velvety oak, leather, and a whisper of spice—cinnamon and clove. Subtle coffee and nutty undertones emerge as this dignified 40-year-old Speyside malt unfurls.
Palate
Silky on the palate, a deep sherried sweetness coats the tongue with fig, dried plum, and raisin, intertwined with dark chocolate, toffee and orange zest. Rich oak and polished spice unfold—cinnamon, clove, a whisper of nuts—leading to a long, warm, velvety finish.
Finish
Long, velvety and richly sherried, the finish coats the palate with prune, fig and dark cherry, drifted in cocoa and espresso. Spices—cinnamon and clove—thread through the sweetness, while polished oak and a hint of leather linger, leaving a warm, refined echo that slowly fades.
