Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, inky mahogany with warm amber-copper highlights and a sherry-tinted glow at the rim.
Nose
Deep, heavy fruit aromas rise from the glass, with rum and raisin fudge and the warm sweetness of oven-baked apples and raisin strudel.
Palate
Weighty, mouth-coating and lush, this delivers a classic Pedro Ximénez influence: stewed raisins and sultanas, rich cocoa and molten brown sugar. Cinnamon buns mingle with warming allspice and ginger, leaving a spiced, luxuriously sweet profile that coats the palate.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish driven by PX richness: raisin and sultana sweetness lingers, interwoven with dark cocoa and molten brown sugar. Cinnamon, allspice and ginger linger with a warm, comforting glow, while subtle oak and sherry-tinted tannins fade to a refined, syrupy finish.
