Royal Brackla Infrequent Flyers Single Cask #1804 Whisky 17 Year Old · 2006 Vintage
In stock
The Infrequent Flyers range is a series of independent single cask bottlings from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, created to showcase distinctive and often unusual casks from distilleries across Scotland. Each release highlights the unique character of an individual cask, with selections often coming from distilleries or cask types that are rarely seen as single malt releases.
Bottled in small batches or as single casks, Infrequent Flyers whiskies are typically presented without chill filtration or added colouring, often at natural cask strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and personality to shine through. The name itself reflects the rarity of these releases - whiskies that appear only occasionally, offering enthusiasts the chance to experience something a little different from the ordinary.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
An exuberant, multi-layered nose: an immediate hit of benzaldehyde and toasted oak, drifting into sweet, salted popcorn with a subtle rum and raisin fudge.
Palate
The influence of cask and distillate are well-balanced here. So soft and creamy. Coconut ice cream and some really mellow vanilla custard notes. There are some very nice spices present too, specifically nutmeg and ginger.
Finish
Long and creamy, it coats with vanilla custard and coconut, while nutmeg and ginger glow softly. Toasted oak lingers, revealing a caramel-dusted warmth and a delicate almond-fruit sweetness that eases into a refined, comforting finish.
