Torabhaig is a new distillery that blends traditional and contemporary approaches. The first distillery to be built on Skye in 190 years, it has been fully operational since January 2017. They distil in beautiful copper stills as you would expect, but chose to ferment in traditional wooden washbacks that add complexity of flavour in the whisky.
This limited release is a bolder expression of Allt Gleann and will close the Allt Gleann chapter of the Legacy Series. Bottled unreduced, it shows the confidence we have in the quality of the whisky and highlights the strength of the signature style.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright copper-gold with a rich amber core, a gleaming bronzed hue that hints at warmth and depth.
Nose
Bonfire smoke and peat mingle with a light, sweet vanilla-led oak spice, lending a warm, creamy edge to the aroma.
Palate
On the palate, smoke intensifies with a saline, malty backbone. A bold wood spice dominates, complemented by subtle grain, capsicum and green apple notes. Weighty peat embers linger, with hints of cedar and sawdust, finishing in warm, oaken spice.
Finish
Oak-spice lingers with a teasing spark of fire.
