Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with luminous copper tones and a mahogany halo along the rim, rich and sun-warmed in the glass.
Nose
Opulent oloroso-driven nose with dried fig, raisin and treacle, unfurling into orange zest, roasted almond and dark chocolate. Hints of toffee, caramel and nutmeg mingle with aged oak, while a whisper of sea breeze evokes coastal Mull character.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this Tobermory bears a rich Oloroso pull. Dried fig and date mingle with candied orange, almond and walnut, edged by toffee and a whisper of cocoa. Cinnamon and clove lift the sweetness, while a nautical salinity underpins the finish. Long, warm and nutty, with sherry-depth lingering almonds and dried fruit.
Finish
An opulent, long finish driven by oloroso sherry: dark prune and fig fruit, toasted almond, cocoa and orange zest, with a hint of spice. Velvet, mouth-coating warmth lingers, supported by refined oak and a subtle maritime edge, tapering to a refined, lingering sweetness.
