Peallach (’pyal-akh’) is a pseudonym name for Ledaig, the heavily peated spirit produced at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. The artwork on this release shows a Boeing Stearman bi-plane approaching the bay of Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull. A similar aircraft resides at the Island’s only airfield, Glenforsa.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm sherry-bronze glow that hints at richness to come.
Nose
Smouldering maple wood with bruleéd figs and cherry liqueur; a warm, caramel-rich aroma that hints at smoky sweetness and oak-driven depth.
Palate
Dark chocolate and sticky toffee pudding fuse with candied orange and spiced plum, threaded by sweet peat that coats the palate and lingers with a long, indulgent, smoky finish.
Finish
Long, smouldering and indulgent, the finish threads peat and warm sherry into a lingering ember. Cocoa and dark fruit drift through the final seconds, with a velvety sweetness wrapping the palate long after the last sip.
