Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with coppery sheen and a mahogany glow.

Nose

Brimming with dark chocolate, raisins and walnuts, the aroma presents aged quince marmalade, candied orange peel, marzipan and toffee apples, all rounded by a dry aged sherry.

Palate

Rich and oily on the palate, cloaked in toasted marshmallow and dark mint chocolate. Creamy syrup over stewed fruit, crowned with sultanas, walnuts and flaked almonds.

Finish

Long, luxurious finish; caramel sweetness intertwines with pipe tobacco and mocha coffee, while dried pineapple chunks and raisins linger, accented by a final thread of mint chocolate.

(TOW-ber-MORE-ee) The Tobermory distillery lies in a tranquil harbour overlooking the seaside town of its namesake. Established in 1798 by John Sinclair (originally under the name Ledaig), it is the only Whisky distillery on the idyllic Hebridean Isle of Mull, and is one of the oldest in all of Scotland.
