A real return to form from Macallan and who cares about age statements when the whisky is this good? if you like the 18 year old and sherry cask releases from this distillery you should buy as much of this as you can as it is a real steal at the moment!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany amber with burnished copper highlights and a velvety ruby glow.
Nose
Rich buttery brown bread toast and dark honey lead, with ginger conserve and fruitcake. Roasted hazelnuts, peanut brittle and walnut mingle with sherry-soaked orange slices, praline, coffee and sticky dates, all wrapped in a luxurious sherry-oak perfume.
Palate
Rich and opulent, the palate presents classic Macallan Sherry oak with fruitcake, roasted nuts and dark chocolate. Mocha, praline and fragrant honey weave with buttery oak, mincemeat and ripe figs, all carried by a luxuriously sweet, but not overtly sugary, sherry finish.
Finish
A long, luxurious finish, lingering with brandy butter on Christmas pudding, fig jam and waxy orange, a ginger lift, and the creamy, buttery embrace of sherry oak.
