Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a coppery mahogany edge, a warm, sun-kissed glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry influence floods the nose, with raisin and fig melting into dark plum, apricot glaze and orange zest. Rich toffee, cocoa and espresso mingle with vanilla and almond. Oak-spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts over polished leather and a whisper of cigar box, finishing in a velvety, high-proof warmth.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this Easter Elchies pours sherry-rich flavors of raisin, fig and orange peel, layered with dark chocolate, cocoa and espresso. Cinnamon and clove speckle the mid-palate, underpinned by velvety oak. The 55.3% ABV furnishes a long, warming finish with dried fruit and spice lingering luxuriously.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish coats the palate with dark chocolate and dried fig, bright orange zest and subtle red fruit. Cinnamon and clove weave through warm oak, fading into a velvety warmth that lingers long after the last sip.
