The Whiskymaker’s Editions is a series of one-off releases, showcasing the sense of adventure of The Lakes in-house whiskymaker. The latest release, Iris, was inspired by a town in the Western Himalayas, Gulmarg (meaning meadow of flowers). Specifically created to bring out intense tropical and fruity notes, Iris has been described as a prismatic play of colours, aromas and flavours.

Colour

Prismatic amber with sunlit gold and copper highlights, a luminous, tropical-warmed hue.

Nose

Crisp red apples mingle with honeysuckle, ripe pears and delicate rose, a bright, floral bouquet that speaks of freshness and orchard sunshine.

Palate

Ripe orchard fruits mingle with almond flakes and citrus peel, delivering a crisp, sun-warmed palate with a delicate nutty lift and a bright citrus finish.

Finish

A floral freshness lingers, delicate and uplifting, with honeysuckle, rose and orchard notes fading into a soft citrus-and-almond finish that threads through the palate like a blooming breeze.
