The Smokey Virgin Single Malt Whisky from The English Whisky Co. is the perfect winter warmer. With wonderful aromas of wood fires and hints of date and caramel, this indulgent small batch whisky is beautifully-balanced and delicious. Rich and moreish, the delicious fruitiness given by the virgin cask along with the wafts of wood fire combine to give Smokey Virgin a memorable taste that you'll want to savour. The casks were filled in October 2012, and this whisky is non chill filtered and natural colour. 46% abv. 70cl. A Small Batch Release of only 2652 bottles.

This is a beautifully balanced and rich single malt whisky - the perfect English Whisky to take into winter. Aromas of wood fires, hints of dates and caramel. A lovely rich and oily long finish.

Colour

Natural, sun-warmed amber with honey-gold highlights and a subtle copper glow.

Nose

Peat-smoked notes mingle with crackling wood and vanilla-caramel sweetness. Dried date and orchard fruit rise against a rich virgin-oak backbone, giving a warm, oily fragrance that hints at winter luxury.

Palate

Peat-laced and richly oily, the palate unfurls smoke with a luscious fruitiness from the virgin oak. Dates and caramel thread through the sweetness, while a polished body carries a long, warming finish accented by lingering wood-fire.

Finish

An oily, long finish that coats the palate with smoky warmth, leaving sweet notes of caramel and date to linger.
