The English Chapter 14 Unpeated Single Malt Whisky 5 Year Old · 2009 Vintage
Out of stock
Wow this packs a punch for one so young and many a distillery would kill for an Ex-Bourbon cask of this quality at 10 years old let alone 5!
Clean as a whistle Bourbon cask aged offering from the good folks in Norfolk and well worth seeking out.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale straw-gold with a sunlit glow and a whisper of honey.
Nose
Vanilla shortbread and fresh barley lead the aroma, brightened by lemon sponge cake and white wine grapes with a hint of White Port. Dried apricot and yellow plums unfold, joined by custard powder and sugared almonds, layering a creamy, confectionary sweetness with delicate grainy warmth.
Palate
Lemon drizzle cake mingles with vanilla-coated almonds as fresh straw and rich grapey notes unfold, shaded by white chocolate, toasted marshmallows, and poached pears in syrup.
Finish
An indulgent, dessert-forward finish: rum-and-raisin ice cream meets vanilla panna cotta, with sugared almonds adding a delicate crunch. White port, apricot and ripe pear drift in, while lemon rind brightens the fade and a whisper of vanillin spice lingers.
