Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep antique amber with a mahogany-tinged glow and coppery sheen; a burnished gold edge hints at decades in sherry-rich casks.
Nose
A luxurious nose of dried fruits—raisin, fig and date—woven with rich sherry, almond and walnut. Cocoa nibs and caramel drift through, while orange zest, vanilla and oak spice (cinnamon, clove) lend warmth. Subtle leather and time-worn sweetness complete the polished, elegant aroma of age.
Palate
Silky and refined, this Tamdhu unfolds a sherried tapestry of raisin, fig and orange zest, layered with almond, walnut and dark chocolate. Creamy vanilla and toffee drift through satin oak, guided by gentle spice—cinnamon and clove. The palate is smooth, with a measured sweetness that fades to a long, elegant dry finish.
Finish
Silky, enduring finish with refined sherry sweetness lingering long on the palate. Dried fig and orange zest entwine with dark chocolate and toasted oak, while a gentle kiss of spice—cinnamon and clove—echoes in the tail. Warm, elegant and remarkably persistent, a true testament to a captured era.
