Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery glow and honey-gold edges.
Nose
Sea-salted peat and maritime iodine rise with curling smoke, then give way to rich dried figs and raisins. Sherry-driven warmth brings toffee, vanilla and cocoa, while clove and leather add depth. A coastal, powerful signature—smoky, sweet, and unmistakably Talisker in its briny, epic aroma.
Palate
Powerful and maritime on the palate, this Talisker 1989 delivers deep peat smoke balanced by sea-salt brightness and sherry sweetness. Dried fig, orange zest and toasted almond unfold beneath a warming peppery spine, with vanilla and oak underpinning the richness. The finish lingers with coastal brine and smoke.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with coastal peat, brine and pepper that linger, gradually giving way to rich sherry sweetness—figs and dark chocolate—before a warm oak embrace and a final whisper of spice.
