Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2009 at 46% ABV, this 12-year-old Springbank forms part of the ODD – Original, Distinct, Defiant series and was matured in a rum cask before bottling.
The ODD series was created after Springbank briefly paused production in 2008 and was jokingly described by another distiller as being “a bit odd.” In response, the distillery held a competition asking fans what ODD should stand for, with the winning entry – Original, Distinct, Defiant – becoming the official name for the limited releases.

Colour
Deep amber with honey-gold and copper-bronze glints, a warm, sun-kissed hue that hints at rum-barrel maturity.
Nose
Refreshingly light, melon and soft, sweet fudge; an inviting, bright aroma with a gentle confectionery sweetness.
Palate
Juicy fruits mingle with coconut and grassy notes, while nougat adds a creamy sweetness that lingers softly on the palate.
Finish
Lingering sugary sweetness coats the palate, blossoming into a gentle spice—vanilla, caramel and a whisper of cinnamon, finished with soft oak warmth that lingers gracefully.
