Springbank released the Millennium Malt series in 1998–2001 to mark the turn of the millennium.
The series included six separate age statements: 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years - each showcasing the distillery’s traditional style: lightly peated, oily, complex, and maritime in character. Presented in elegant wooden cases, the Millennium Malt set has since become one of the most coveted Springbank releases among collectors.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, shimmering amber with coppery highlights and mahogany-red edges.
Nose
Coastal brine and sea-salt fuse with a shy wisp of peat, over waxy barley. Dried apricot and fig mingle with vanilla, toffee and oak spice, while citrus zest and mineral notes keep the bouquet lit with maritime brightness.
Palate
Silky, oily on the palate, it coats with luxurious heft. Light peat lingers, braided with sea spray, iodine and brine. Sherried fruit—fig, prune, dried cherry—sits atop polished oak, with hints of dark chocolate and roasted nut. Citrus zest and spice thread through the richness, unveiling a layered, maritime finish that is long, refined, and quietly smoky.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with briny sea air and subtle peat smoke. Waxy richness from well-aged oak carries notes of dried fruit and citrus, slowly giving way to mineral depth as the warmth recedes, leaving a refined, contemplative tail.
