The series included six separate age statements: 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years - each showcasing the distillery’s traditional style: lightly peated, oily, complex, and maritime in character. Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-gold with warm amber depths and a honeyed, sunlit glow.
Nose
Coastal, refined aroma with sea spray and brine carrying a lift of iodine over glossy, oily malt. Subtle peat smoke threads through polished oak and waxy notes, while dried citrus peel and orchard fruit provide a fresh sweetness that deepens with age. A maritime bouquet of depth and grace.
Palate
Silky, waxy mouthfeel with a maritime saltiness that envelops the palate. Soft peat smoke lingers beside rich layers of dried fruit, toffee and orange zest, tempered by polished oak. Complex notes of brine, almond and cacao unfold into a long, refined finish, where gentle spice and smoke echo the Campbeltown coast.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with briny sea spray and mineral bite, carried on a waxy, oily mouthfeel. Subtle peat persists alongside warm oak, opening a gentle spice that lingers. The warmth returns as a refined dryness, fading slowly into the coastal air—an elegant, lingering echo of Campbeltown character and Springbank’s Millennium maturity.
