Springbank released the Millennium Malt series in 1998–2001 to mark the turn of the millennium.
The series included six separate age statements: 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 years - each showcasing the distillery’s traditional style: lightly peated, oily, complex, and maritime in character. Presented in elegant wooden cases, the Millennium Malt set has since become one of the most coveted Springbank releases among collectors.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery shimmer and honeyed highlights, a rich, lustrous hue that glows with maturity.
Nose
Sea-salted air and briny iodine open the nose, carried on an oily, lightly peated core. Waxy citrus and honeyed orchard fruit layer with a delicate sherry richness, while polished oak, kelp, and a whisper of smoke add depth. A quintessential Springbank aroma—maritime, nuanced, and elegant, with impressive persistence.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and oily, the palate opens with maritime brine and gentle peat smoke. Sherried sweetness, orange zest, and dried fig mingle with malt and honey, while a waxy texture coats the tongue. The finish is long and refined, revealing iodine, sea salt, subtle spice, and aging oak.
Finish
Long maritime finish with saline sea breeze, subtle peat smoke and mineral oak unfolding in an oily, luxurious linger and a subtle echo of oak-derived sweetness.
