Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, hinting at decades of sherry-influenced maturation.
Nose
Aromas of coastal peat and sea-salt air collide with rich sherry sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with cocoa, toffee and orange zest, while waxy citrus rind adds brightness. Leather, cedar and a touch of nutmeg emerge as the bottle opens, beneath a subtle mineral, iodine-laced backbone that recalls Campbeltown brine.
Palate
Silky and refined, the palate reveals sherried fruit, fig and raisin, married to coastal peat and a whisper of citrus zest. Mocha/toasted oak provide depth, while maritime salt accents the mid-palate. The peat is integrated, giving a gentle, lingering smoke that fades to a dry, resinous finish with spice.
Finish
An expansive, lingering finish: gentle peat and coastal brine give way to rich sherry sweetness, dark fruit and cocoa, then a long, warming oak spice that gradually fades to a subtle maritime whisper.
