Scapa Gordon & MacPhail Single Malt Scotch Whisky 14 Year Old · 2001 Vintage
Out of stock
Scapa is often overlooked as there aren't many bottlings out there. It is one of our favourite whiskies here and with this 14 Year Old 2001 vintage by Gordon & Macphail it really does showcase the distillery character perfectly.
Lots of tropical fruit, a subtle saltiness and minerality shines through.
94.5 Points Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
"Showing Scapa exactly as it should be. One of the easiest drinking malts currently in the market palace, and quite possibly the most moreish. Genius. And dangerous."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with sunlit copper highlights.
Nose
An inviting tropical fruit bouquet—pineapple, mango, and passion fruit—floats atop a delicate coastal saltiness. A crisp mineral backbone lends seaworthy freshness, with a faint maritime brine that hints at Scapa’s island character.
Palate
Tropical fruit sweetness lifts the palate, while a delicate saline undercurrent and crisp minerality keep it buoyant and precise. Silky texture coats the tongue, guiding the flavors to a bright, lingering finish with citrus zest and a touch of sea-salt.
Finish
Long, evolving finish where tropical fruit notes persist, braided with subtle sea-salt and mineral cadence; a focused, maritime warmth that slowly recedes to a clean, dry, lightly sweet echo.
