Out of stock
This Is the first time that Port Charlotte has experimented with Pomerol casks in our cask exploration series. Pomerol is home to some of the finest and most sought-after red wines in the world and is the smallest of all the major Bordeaux wine appellations. The Versatile Port Charlotte spirit has been profoundly influenced by the flavour of the oak, with notes of black cherry, plum and aged leather.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber, with copper-gold highlights and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
An enveloping plume of peat smoke and coastal brine, layered with dark fruit from the Pomerol cask—ripe black cherry and plum, dusky leather, and polished vanilla-tinged oak. Subtle chocolate and toasted timber weave through the aroma.
Palate
On the palate, bold peat smoke intertwines with dark fruit—black cherry and plum—infused by the Pomerol cask’s oak influence. Aged leather adds savoury depth as the finish lingers with smoky fruit and refined warmth.
Finish
Luxurious, long finish coats the palate with dark fruit and peat. Black cherry and plum linger beside aged leather, while velvet Pomerol oak adds subtle sweetness and refined tannins, ending in a gentle, smoky warmth.
