Mannochmore Rare Malts Selection Single Malt Scotch Whisky 22 Year Old · 1974 Vintage
Out of stock
One of the lesser known Speyside distilleries that was only established in 1971, so having been distilled in 1974 this cask strength release from 1997 would be one of the earliest official bottles available.
A fresh, herbal and peppery ginger spiced Speyside with plenty going on and much to admire here.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery glow and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Floral honey rises over fragrant barley and fresh herbs, with biscuity sweetness and toasted hazelnuts. Golden syrup coats oaty cereal, while a subtle kiss of ginger spice threads through the aroma.
Palate
Peppery ginger spice opens, softening into poached pears in stock syrup, with herbaceous, floral barley. Lemon sherbet hints and chocolate lime notes emerge, especially with a drop of water.
Finish
Lemon squash lingers with gingernut biscuits, peppery barley and pear drops, carried by fresh garden herbs into a bright, herbal finish.
