Mannochmore Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old
In stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
An integral part of some of the world’s best-loved blends, Mannochmore whisky is perfumed and floral, like a fine white wine. Built next to its older sister distillery Glenlossie, Mannochmore is the only distillery to share a location – and sometimes a workforce – with another distillery.
Surprisingly clean, dry and refreshingly direct. Mannochmore often adds it clean, dry and direct flavour to blends, and has come into its own in recent years.

Tasting Notes
Nose
The first impression is sweet and lightly malty, then some aldehydic (green sticks) notes emerge and a slight whiff of brimstone. After a while, the green notes become green apples, and the sulphur notes more like carbon monoxide. With water, similar to the unreduced.
Palate
Fresh and clean – appetising with good acidity and a well-balanced dryness overall.
Finish
Surprisingly dry in the finish for a Speyside.
