Mannochmore Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old
In stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
An integral part of some of the world’s best-loved blends, Mannochmore whisky is perfumed and floral, like a fine white wine. Built next to its older sister distillery Glenlossie, Mannochmore is the only distillery to share a location – and sometimes a workforce – with another distillery.
Surprisingly clean, dry and refreshingly direct. Mannochmore often adds it clean, dry and direct flavour to blends, and has come into its own in recent years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale golden straw, bright and sunlit with a delicate, crystal-clear sheen.
Nose
Sweet and lightly malty at first, then aldehydic green notes rise with a faint brimstone hint. The green lifts settle into crisp green apples, while sulphur nods skew toward carbon monoxide. With water, the aroma remains true to form, gently softened but bright and direct.
Palate
Fresh and clean, with crisp green apple and a light malt character. Bright acidity lifts the palate, finishing dry and well balanced.
Finish
An unexpectedly dry finale that lingers with a crisp, clean maltiness. The finish stays poised and airy, with a light mineral bite and refreshing acidity echoing its Speyside character.
