Matured in a first fill European hogshead for 11 years and then finished in a first fill oloroso cask, Auld Goonsy says that this Speyside malt is like a good old rich Clootie dumpling, covered in cream.

Sherried spice, bramble pie and a touch of marzipan mingle on the nose, delivering a warm, berry-scented aroma with an almondy sweetness.

Palate

A luxurious palate reveals mixed raisins, Christmas cake and a warming note of nutmeg; fruit richness sits in velvety sweetness, carried by subtle sherry spice and a creamy, lingering finish.

Warm, lingering finish of nectarines, marmalade and crème caramel.

(MANN-ock-more) Mannochmore is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery near Elgin in Moray, built by DCL in 1971 on the same site as Glenlossie. It was created during a period of high demand for malt whisky for blending, with its spirit used in blends connected to Haig and Dimple. The distillery was mothballed in 1985, reopened in 1989, and is now owned by Diageo.
