Lochlea's seasonal small batch release showcases their style in four different ways each year. As a working farm, these expressions tie-in to reflect the farming calendar. In the Second Crop for 2023 they have used 100% fresh 1st fill ex Bourbon barrels from higher up in their warehouse than 2022. The heat, faster maturation, and older spirit combine to show a clear progression from last year's edition.

Signature sweet red apple and pear shine on the nose, a crisp, sun-warmed orchard aroma with inviting fruit-forward sweetness.

Silky vanilla pods bloom on the palate, caressed by almond oil. A creamy, gently nutty sweetness coats the tongue, leaving a smooth, refined impression with understated warmth.
