Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry on the nose, with a cascade of dried figs, dates and sultanas, deepening into black cherry and red plum. Rich cocoa, toasted almond and orange zest mingle with spice—cinnamon, clove—while polished oak and a hint of tobacco lend antique warmth. A lively high-strength lift keeps the bouquet bright, inviting you to dive into this indulgent Lowland malt.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate thick with sherry richness: dark plum, fig and raisin meld with orange peel and treacle. Rich oak and polished spice — cinnamon, clove, nutmeg — weave through caramelized fruit. The elevated ABV lends a creamy warmth, delivering a long finish of cocoa, espresso, and dried fruit.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish, where burnt sugar sweetness and rich sherry glaze the palate. Dried fig, date and cocoa mingle with toasted oak, while cinnamon and clove thread through the timber. A final whisper of tobacco and almond lingers, wrapped in a light smoke and satin warmth.
