Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany amber with copper-gold sheen and ruby-bronze edges.
Nose
Opulent sherry nose of dried figs, prunes and raisin, folded with dark plum and orange zest. Rich chocolate, coffee and polished oak mingle with warming spice—clove and nutmeg—alongside a faint leather note and a touch of tobacco.
Palate
Powerful, full-bodied palate with a velvety, waxy texture. Dark fruit compote—prune, fig and date—woven with sherry oak, orange zest, treacle and almond. Spicy warmth from clove and cinnamon, a touch of espresso. Leather, cocoa and tobacco emerge, then a long, warming finish with a subtle mineral, maritime undercurrent lingering on the palate.
Finish
Long, velvety finish that clings with sherried richness. Dried fruit, fig and raisin mingle with dark chocolate and toasted oak, while orange zest lends a citrus lift. Cinnamon and clove spice weave through, ending with peppery warmth that slowly fades into a refined, nutty afterglow.
