Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma of dark fruits: raisin, fig and sultana, layered with cocoa, toffee and toasted almond. Spices of cinnamon and nutmeg swirl with espresso and leather, all resting on polished oak and a hint of tobacco.
Palate
Silky and richly sherried on the palate, with prune, fig and raisin fruit brightened by candied orange and almond. Cocoa, leather and toasted spice ride a polished oak backbone, unfolding into a long, warming finish with espresso and tobacco.
Finish
A long, indulgent finish that lingers with luscious dried fruit and dark chocolate, touched by orange zest and baking spices, fading slowly to a warm, oak-laden echo.
