Another excellent sherried Ledaig! Bottled under The Single Malts of Scotland label, this whisky was drawn from a single sherry butt in January 2019.
This single cask Ledaig (peated Tobermory) has spent 13 years maturing before being bottled by Elixir Distillers, with an outturn of 627 bottles.
This whisky has decadent notes of rich bonfire smoke, cooked fruits and crème brûlée with subtle notes of smoke and characterisitc engine oil. The palate shows notes of earthy peat, sweet tobacco, vanilla and cherry drops.

Colour
Deep amber with bronzed copper highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Bold bonfire smoke blends with rich sherry-soaked fruit and creamy crème brûlée. A subtle engine-oil note adds mineral depth, while earthy peat and a touch of tobacco linger, evoking Ledaig’s coastal, peated heart.
Palate
Earthy peat, sweet tobacco, vanilla and cherry drops define the palate, with the sherry influence lending a mellow warmth.
Finish
Long, smoky finish crowned by bonfire embers and earthy peat. Vanilla-wrapped fruit lingers with dark cherry and a kiss of tobacco, gradually giving way to a subtle engine-oil note and a final whisper of spice.
