Ledaig Connoisseurs Choice Single Malt Scotch Whisky 15 Year Old · 2000 Vintage
Out of stock
A rather approachable and good value 15 year old, vintage Ledaig from Gordon and Macphail. Matured in a combination of refill Bourbon and sherry casks, this has a lovely initial soft and fruity element to the whisky, grassy, floral and sweet before the earthy and downright dirty smoke comes through on the mid-palate and really builds to a billowing smokey finish! A bottling that is sadly long discontinued.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery tones and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Soft and fruity on the nose, orchard and citrus notes glow beside a fresh grassy, floral lift, with a touch of sherry sweetness. Delicate floral hints mingle with a clean, malted undercurrent, inviting and approachable.
Palate
Soft and fruity entry with grassy notes, delicate florals and a whisper of sweetness. The mid-palate delivers earthy, dirty smoke that unfurls, gradually enveloping the tongue and blooming into a bold, billowing smoky finish.
Finish
Billowing, long-smoked finish where earthy peat lingers with coastal warmth; a quiet sweetness fades to ash, leaving a robust, smoky afterglow.
