Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with burnished gold highlights and a whisper of mahogany at the rim, a rich, glass-warmed glow that hints at decades of peat, oak and sherry maturation.
Nose
An imposing Islay aromatic core: peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise with coastal sea spray, backed by polished oak and a whisper of vanilla. Dried fruit and cocoa threads deepen the scent, while leather and tobacco add a refined, old-cask luster that lingers with maritime complexity.
Palate
Powerfully peated and impeccably aged, this palate opens with dense smoke and iodine-brine, then softens into rich sherry-dark fruit, fig and cocoa. Silky texture carries leather and tobacco, with a subtle mineral bite, while the finish lingers long—pepper, salted caramel and a refined oak kiss.
Finish
An exceptionally long, maritime finish: peat smoke coils with iodine and sea-salt, slowly yielding to dark cacao and dried fruit, woven with warm oak. The glow lingers, leaving a subtle coastal sweetness and a final, peppery spice that fades to a whisper.
