This exceptional Single Malt Whisky displays the robust, smoky character of the famous 10 Year Old, but with added complexity from extended maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. The vanilla note apparent at 10 years becomes amplified, complimented by the sweetness of ripe fruits and honey, alongside toasted oak spice, and abundant peat smoke.
Laphroaig 18 Year Old is bottled at a high strength of 48% for greater intensity and a satisfyingly rich mouthfeel. .

Sweet vanilla and soft toffee mingle with bright gooseberry and Bramley apple; a hint of cinnamon grounds the bouquet, mingling with the warm sweetness of freshly baked apple tart.
Palate
Oil-slick and full-bodied, it opens with bright orange and nectarine fruit, layered with vanilla honey and toasted oak. Minty herbal notes mingle with heathery sweetness as ginger spice unfolds and peat adds an iodine-kissed edge. The finish is long, savoury and smoky, with a rich, mouth-coating warmth at 48% that lingers.
Finish
A luxurious, lingering finish that stays sweet and rich, unfolding into a long savoury smoke. Vanilla and toffee give way to peat, iodine and toasted oak, leaving a warm maritime resin and a final kiss of spice.
