This exceptional Single Malt Whisky displays the robust, smoky character of the famous 10 Year Old, but with added complexity from extended maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. The vanilla note apparent at 10 years becomes amplified, complimented by the sweetness of ripe fruits and honey, alongside toasted oak spice, and abundant peat smoke.
Laphroaig 18 Year Old is bottled at a high strength of 48% for greater intensity and a satisfyingly rich mouthfeel. .

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery, sunlit highlights and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Sweet vanilla and soft toffee mingle with bright gooseberry and Bramley apple; a hint of cinnamon grounds the bouquet, mingling with the warm sweetness of freshly baked apple tart.
Palate
Oily and full-bodied, this pours with an upfront citrus-nectarine fruitiness tempered by vanilla and honey. Toasted oak spice, ginger warmth and freshly cut mint thread through, while iodine-tinged peat adds savory depth. The mid-palate broadens to a luscious richness before a long, sweet-savoury, smoky finish.
Finish
Sweet and rich, the finish lingers with savory depth and smoky peat, as vanilla-and-honeyed fruit drifts into a long, warming, oak-kissed afterglow.
