A collaboration between Auchentoshan and 12 bartenders from around the world. The Bartender's Blend includes whiskies that span five decades, and have been matured in a vast array of unusual and experimantal casks, including ex-Laphroaig, rum casks, red wine barriques, and German oak. Bottled at higher strength (47%ABV) than the core range of Auchentoshan, this experimental release is intended to be the first in a series of annual releases.
A Lowland malt disguised as something more like an Island malt, a very interesting mix of cask finishes that does work well together, something very different from The Auchentoshan distillery.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Dried cherry, aromatic tobacco, fruit and nut chocolate, nougart, toffee, rum soaked brioche, earthy ginger, raspberry jam, rose water/floral notes.
Palate
A deep dark honeycomb delivery, ginger, cherry tobacco, rum bhaba, aromatic spices, some earthy/leathery notes, spicy vanillin wood tannin, peppery rye bread, some late smoke and roasted sweet red peppers.
Finish
Dark treacle, ginger, earthy smoke, toasted spices, aniseed, coffee grinds, chocolate honeycomb and late pink peppercorn notes.
