Highland Park Wings Of The Eagle Single Malt Scotch Whisky 16 Year Old
Out of stock
Highland Park 16 Year Old Wings of the Eagle was crafted to honor the rugged and windswept beauty of the Orkney Islands. Our waters are tempestuous, winters are lengthy, and few trees can thrive here—yet these conditions contribute to a uniquely harmonious whisky.
The fierce Orkney winds can gust over 100 miles per hour in winter, leaving the moorland peat treeless but abundant in fragrant heather. When this heather is burned, it imparts the signature aromatic smokiness that characterizes our whisky. In this expression, that smokiness is beautifully complemented by aging in carefully selected sherry-seasoned European oak casks, resulting in a remarkable depth of flavor.
With a blend of sweet figs, apricots, nutmeg, chocolate-covered marzipan, and the distinctive peat smoke enriched by heather, the 16 Year Old Wings of the Eagle stands as an uncompromising and remarkably harmonious single malt whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold core, enriched by the sherry-seasoned maturation, a warm, lustrous hue.
Nose
Peat smoke drifts with heather and coastal air, a windswept aroma that binds rugged peat to sherry-seasoned European oak casks. Dried fig and apricot glow at the core, while nutmeg and a whisper of chocolate-covered marzipan weave through the sweetness. The nose unfolds in measured, elegant layers—smoke, fruit, and spice, finishing with a delicate oak-dusted warmth.
Palate
Polished and multi-layered, the palate marries sun-dried figs and apricots with peat smoke and heather. Nutmeg and cocoa-marzipan lend warmth as sherry-soaked oak deepens sweetness and adds a dry edge. A maritime glow lingers with toasted embers, finishing in refined, persistent smokiness.
Finish
Long, harmonious finish of peat smoke and heather, slowly fading to sweetness. Dried fig and apricot mingle with nutmeg and cocoa, carried by sherry-seasoned oak. A warm, refined fade with maritime depth and spice that lingers on the palate, echoing the windswept Orkney spirit.
