A blend of malts produced in the Hakushu Distillery that have been aged exclusively in Spanish Oak Casks. Along with the sweet and subtly bitter flavor, enjoy the refreshingly soft palate for which Hakushu is famous for. The limited-edition design expresses the harvest season with the motif of tree leaves found in the Hakushu forest.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Pale golden yellow with a sunlit honey hue.

Nose

Spiced and fruit-forward, the nose presents cloves wrapped around apricot and prune, delivering a warm, inviting bouquet with a touch of forest air.

Palate

Sweetly complex yet sprightly on the palate, it reveals Manuka honey, orange marmalade and cacao. A light, buoyant texture keeps the flavors vibrant, with a lingering, soft lift.

Finish

An espresso-like bitterness lingers with poised restraint, a refined, cocoa-kissed fade that coats the palate with a warm, lasting finish.

(hah-koo-SHOO) Hakushu was founded in 1973 by Keizo Saji as Suntory’s second malt whisky distillery, built deep in the forests of the Southern Japanese Alps to mark 50 years since the founding of Japanese whisky. Created to produce a style distinct from Yamazaki, it was established in Yamanashi for its exceptionally soft mountain water and cool, misty climate, and has since become one of the defining names in Japanese single malt.
