Another excellent cask selection from the Vintage Malt Whisky Company. This Cooper's Choice bottling of Glentauchers was distilled in June 2009 and aged in a first-fill bourbon barrel for seven years. This has classic notes of vanilla and coconut with a hint of spice. 305 bottles were produced.

Silky vanilla and coconut persist into a long, creamy finish, with a subtle echo of spice and gentle oak that lingers gracefully.

Glentauchers
(Glen-TAW-kers) Glentauchers was founded near Mulben in 1897 by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, with production beginning in 1898. Its early history was closely tied to blending from the outset, with James Buchanan & Co taking full ownership in 1906 before later becoming part of DCL in 1925. The distillery was expanded in 1966, closed during the whisky downturn in 1985, and returned to production in 1992.
