Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany-tinged glow.
Nose
Sherry-softened aromas rise with dark fruit—prune, raisin, and fig—laced with orange zest, caramel, and toasted oak. Almonds, cocoa, and a touch of leather mingle with subtle spice, delivering a glossy sweetness and a quietly luxurious, opulent nose that speaks to the cask’s lavish influence on this Speyside specialty.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and sherry-kissed, this dram unfurls fig and raisin with candied orange peel, layered over velvety toffee and almond paste. Warm spice—cinnamon and clove—meets refined oak tannin, adding subtle grip. Rich dark chocolate echoes finish, leaving a long, creamy butterscotch-laced finale.
Finish
An opulent, lingering finish that smolders with the richness of sherry. A syrupy core of dried fig and orange peel gives way to velvety dark chocolate and toasted almond, fading to warm spice and a whisper of leather. Long, refined, and distinctly sherried, it leaves a polished, enduring sweetness.
