With its rich spice and luscious sweetness, Glenmorangie Lasanta is a whisky that elicits the radiant wonder of sunset and has been a favourite of Glenmorangie fans for some time. Now aged for 15 years in an enhanced selection of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, we’ve introduced even more complex and elegant notes to this whisky, all working together in delicious balance.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich amber with burnished copper highlights and a sun-warmed golden glow.

Nose

Ripe raisins and honey lift the bouquet, edged with luxurious toffee. Clove and cinnamon weave through a warm, sunlit sweetness, while Oloroso sherry lends dried-fruit depth and a hint of almond. Subtle oak and vanilla underpin the scent, finishing in poised, radiant elegance.

Palate

Silky and medium-full on the palate, it glides with warm spice and generous sweetness. Raisin and honey unfold into toffee, clove and cinnamon, all framed by refined oak from bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks. Plush, sunlit balance leads to a long, elegant finish.

Finish

Long, sun-warmed finish of luscious sweetness and warming spice. Raisins and honey mingle with toffee as clove and cinnamon linger, carried by sherry-infused oak—leaving a radiant, lingering warmth that invites the next sip.

Selling their whisky for mere shillings per gallon, the venture may have started small, its location remote, but the Mathesons' vision was extraordinary.
