Glenlossie Single Malts Of Scotland Single Cask #6435 Whisky 10 Year Old · 2009 Vintage
Out of stock
The lesser released Glenlossie, an unheralded Speyside distiller, that offers real value and great flavour. This one from The Single Malts of Scotland is a 10 Year Old, matured in a Bourbon Hogshead before being bottled at a healthy 59.2% ABV.
The Glenlossie distillery is one of Diageo’s workhorses that really only produce whisky for blends. There are few original bottlings, with the exception of the 10-year-old Glenlossie from the Flora & Fauna series. Neither is it very common among indie bottlers, but the ones that are released almost all seem to be good.

Bright straw-gold with warm honey hues and a touch of amber.
Nose
Glenlossie delivers an intense, inviting bouquet: vanilla and honeyed citrus frame ripe apple and pear, while toasted oak, buttered toffee, and almond lend depth. Subtle florals and a whisper of white pepper spice ride a warm bourbon-cask sweetness, yielding a creamy, luxurious aroma with evident balance and refinement.
Palate
On the palate it is full, creamy and assertive, delivering vanilla and toffee from the bourbon cask mingled with Glenlossie’s crisp orchard fruit. Lemon zest and ripe pear layers weave through almond and honey, while a peppery spice builds mid-palate. The 59.2% ABV coats with a luxurious warmth, finishing long with warm malt, oak tannins and a subtle nutty, fruit-led fade.
Finish
Long, warming finish of vanilla and toasted oak, backed by creamy toffee and a hint of orchard fruit. Spices linger softly, fading to a bright citrus zest and a final whisper of cedar.
