Nose

Delicate and polished, the nose opens with ripe orchard fruits—pear and mirabelle—lifted by honeyed vanilla and toffee from the oak. A restrained sherry presence adds dark plum and raisin, mingling with almond, cocoa nibs, and a whisper of spice (cinnamon, nutmeg). Waxy, refined, and incredibly gentle, it unfolds into a creamy, wood-driven aroma that promises elegance and depth.

Palate

Silky and opulent on the palate, this 27-year Glengoyne delivers a rich sherried sweetness with dark figs, raisins, orange zest, and treacle. Prune, toffee, and creme brulee fuse with cinnamon and clove over polished oak. At 57% ABV the heat is integrated, yielding a long finish of cocoa nibs, tobacco, and a bright orchard-fruit glow.

Finish

Long, velvet finish with sherry warmth. Dried cherry and fig mingle with cocoa, while toasted oak and baking spices—cinnamon and clove—linger, fading to a silky, refined oak.
